On Thursday evening, amid the nonstop shows, dinners, and parties during New York Fashion Week, the Kering Foundation gathered an A-list crowd at The Pool for the fifth annual Caring for Women dinner.
Co-hosts Salma Hayek Pinault, François-Henri Pinault, Pamela Anderson, Simone Biles, Dakota Johnson, Benicio Del Toro, Nacho Figueras, and Lorna Simpson were joined by guests including Julianne Moore, Alex Consani, Alix Earle, ELLE editor-in-chief Nina Garcia, Martha Stewart, Lindsey Vonn, and more. By the end of the night, the annual fundraiser had raised more than $5 million to support organizations working to end violence against women and children.
Following the red carpet, guests moved inside for dinner, where none other than an impeccably dressed Colman Domingo served as host.
A live auction offered fashion, art, and various experiences from Gucci, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Pomellato, Simpson, and others, with proceeds benefiting Activating Change, Fondo Semillas, JBWS, and The New York Women’s Foundation.
The fundraising won’t stop there, either. For the first time, the foundation has opened an accompanying silent auction to the public. Bidding will continue through September 14.
“Salma and I founded the Caring for Women Dinner five years ago because we refused to accept the rise in violence against women and children as a new normal,” François-Henri Pinault said of the event. “The extraordinary generosity of this community has helped transform that conviction into action, bringing us closer to a future where every woman and child can live free from violence.”
Rita Ora took the stage for a performance, followed by a lively after-party where Paris Hilton manned the DJ booth and kept the celebration going well into the night.
